New cycle routes on A30, A33 and town centre 9th August

Cyclists met with the borough council and consultants from WSP Parsons Brinkhoff to look at proposals for cycle routes.
There are three options for improving these routes - bronze a cheap quick win, silver more expensive and gold expensive, would take longer to implement but probably the best.
It will depend on feedback from cyclists which options are taken forward.  Then the route will be designed and the Borough council will seek to find funding.
We at Cycle Basingstoke are hoping that there will be segregated cycle lanes for cyclists only only from Junction 7 of the M3 all the way to Brighton Hill roundabout.  There is also the possibility of maintenance and improvements on the multi-user route from Kempshott to Oakley.
