IT'S OFFICIAL - A NEW CYCLE TRACK FOR BRIGHTON WAY - HAVE YOUR SAY

There are some benefits from Covid with more money for cycling from the Active Travel Fund.

The County Council has secured £3.28 million from a successful bid to the Government’s Active Travel Fund. The funding will be used to provide a range of measures to create better spaces for walking and cycling in local communities. This includes Brighton Way from the big roundabout to Sullivan road.

Cycle Basingstoke thinks this scheme is good for cycling, although further suggestions for improvement could not be included due to expense. We are pleased that it also has the support of Brighton Hill councillors. What do you think?

see the plans and give your feedback. Closes midnight Friday 12th February

Lots of public support will encourage the county to provide more and better cycle routes.
